Unscrew the base water tank and fill with tap water or filtered water. Screw back on the tank and turn the unit upside down for 3 seconds. This will prime the hydro wick so that the humidifier can produce cool mist. Make sure the Puremidifier is plugged in. Next, hold down the power button on the front of the unit for 3 seconds. You will hear the Puremidifier power on. The first mode is the air purifier only.  

Quickly push the power button again and you will switch to the humidifier mode and you will see the cool mist begin to flow.  Finally, push the power button quickly for a third time and you will engage the combination mode which will provide both air purification and cool mist.  

To turn off the machine simply press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.

One full tank of water will power the cool mist humidifier for approximately 5 hours.

A true HEPA filter is a High-Efficiency Particulate Air filter.  HEPA filters are used to clean the air in airplanes and hospitals. HEPA filters remove 99% or more of airborne pollutants like mold, bacteria, pollen, dust, pet dander, etc. The Puremidifier’s HEPA filter will remove 99% or more of particles that are 2.5 microns or larger. 

The hydro wick is a thin cotton tube that brings water from the Puremidifier’s tank up to the humidity diffuser. It is very important to turn the unit upside down before turning it on so that the hydro wick is primed with water. Without this step, you will have no cool-mist output. 

Tap water and filtered water work best.

Yes, you can add a small amount of essential oils.  No more than two or three drops per tank of water.

We recommend that you wipe the water tank clean with a damp cloth and warm water every month. And we recommend you change the HEPA filter at least every 4 months depending on how often you use it.

The tiny water particles that the Puremidifier adds to the air will sometimes create a bond with dust in the air. This often makes the dust fall to the ground or fall to your desk. This is a sign that your Puremidifier is working to clean your air.  Simply wipe away the dust with a damp towel as part of your ordinary house cleaning process.

You can expect to receive your Puremidifier within 3-8 business days of placing your order. During the holidays (November 15-January 5) we may have slight delays in shipping due to volume. Occasionally when we are out of stock and replenishing our inventory there could be a more significant delay in shipping. We will update you on these delays in the announcement bar at the top of our homepage and we will send you an email once your Puremidifier ships.

If for whatever reason you are not 100% satisfied with your order you may return it for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. We ask that you pay for return shipping and we ask that you return the product in its original condition. We will refund the full order amount minus the cost of return shipping.
